Character Analysis
Sadie's school buddies, Liz and Emma, are only mentioned from time to time. We know that they're boy crazy, because Sadie tells us so (4.3)—they even think Carter is hot. Weird, right? They're asking about Sadie when she calls Gran and Gramps Faust to check in after all the action is over, and so they're one reason for her to go home. In the end, though, Sadie decides to stay with Carter, saying that she can see her friends whenever she wants to thanks to the Duat. Either they weren't that close to begin with, or we're underestimating how well the Duat works as a supernatural Skype.
