Character Role Analysis

Stuart Ullman

Good ol' Stuart Ullman is a great information tool. Without him, we wouldn't know about the Delbert Grady massacre or the fact that the Overlook is built on an old Native American burial ground.

We also wouldn't know tons of other stuff about the Overlook that helps us make sense of what's happening to Jack or his family. But once he's fulfilled his role as information tool, Mr. Ullman quickly disappears from this movie and never shows up again.
