nov 29 Learn More C.S. Lewis Born
Writer C. S. Lewis was born on this day in 1898. He was known to most of his friends as Jack, having adopted the name of the family dog. Jacksie was struck by a car and killed when Lewis was just four years old. Lewis then demanded that everyone call him Jacksie and refused to answer to any other name. Weird? Sure. But let's just be grateful that the dog wasn't named Floopy or Admiral Punchweasel von Breadcrumb.
