Source: The Lion King

Speaker: Banzai

"Mufasa, Mufasa, Mufasa!"

Shenzi: I just hear that name and I shudder.

Banzai: Mufasa!

Shenzi: Ooh, do it again.

Banzai: Mufasa, Mufasa, Mufasa!

Shenzi: It tingles me!

Scar: I'm surrounded by idiots.

Context

This line is spoken by Banzai (voiced by Cheech Marin) in the movie The Lion King, directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff (1994).

Every good villain needs henchpeople to do their dirty work while he or she goes off and gives pompous monologues. (Or to sing backup for their villain song if this is a Disney movie.) In The Lion King, evil uncle and king wannabe, Scar, is stuck with the hyenas Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.

Toward the beginning of the movie, the hyenas don't respect Scar like they do his brother Mufasa (voiced by James Earl Jones), who has a deeper voice, bigger mane, and is just downright more regal. But their little mocking chant of "Mufasa, Mufasa, Mufasa" as Scar sits and snarks turns into full-on obedience to Scar when he breaks into the first bars of "Be Prepared."

The lesson here: burst into melodramatic song, and fierce, yet comedic, savanna creatures will do your bidding, including causing a wildebeest stampede and killing off your closest rival. But make sure to keep them well-fed, or you could be their dinner, as Scar's story ends with Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed devouring him off-screen to keep that "G" rating.

Where you've heard it

You've possibly heard a variation of this quote when one of your "friends" wants to hang out with someone cooler and repeats the cooler person's name multiple times to annoy you.

Mufasa's name literally means "king" in the Manazoto language whereas, according to some research done by Tumblr, Scar's real name means "garbage." No wonder he was so upset.

Pretentious Factor

If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.

This quote is actually a little condescending because you're implying that you'd rather be hanging out with someone other than the person you're currently with it. Maybe save it for bad date.
