How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.

Context

This line is often attributed to the book The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank (1952).

Probably the only upside to hiding from Nazis in an attic is that it gives you a lot of time to think and write. And it makes sense that someone in such a terrible, stressful situation would write something so uplifting and motivational, giving hope to herself and to the future.

But we'll be frank with you, even if your name isn't Anne: there's some dispute as to whether or not Anne Frank ever said or wrote this. So while the quote itself is fine to use, you might not want to attribute it to the famous diarist.

Where you've heard it

You've heard this from that motivational speaker who visited your middle school to…motivate you to…get motivated. Motivate!

Pretentious Factor

If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.

This quote is childishly optimistic, but not too pretentious.
