Character Analysis
Mrs. Moore is Dr. Moore's mother. We don't know much about her other than she lives with her son and likes to garden. Or, maybe she doesn't like to garden since she asks Henry to do it for her—in any case, she has a vegetable garden. Like Dr. Moore, she seems to appreciate Henry's hard work. She's also fond of the other children, whom she meets when they come to help pick cherries.
