Jan Rodricks Timeline and Summary

Jan goes to Rupert's party but is a party-pooper as he longs for something better in life.
During the Ouija board game, Jan asks where the Overlords' home world is and surprisingly gets an answer.
Even more surprising, he does some research and believes the answer to be correct.
He devises a plan with Professor Sullivan at the sea lab to stow away inside a giant whale diorama.
The plan actually works and Jan boldly goes where no man has gone before.
He spends some time on the Overlords' planet, seeing the sights, catching glimpses of strange phenomena, doing the tourist thing.
Eighty earth-years later, Jan returns to find that he's the last human alive.
Jan stays behind on the planet, recording for the Overlords what he sees when humanity transcends into the Overmind.
He probably dies when the Earth does, but maybe, just maybe, he enters the Overmind as well.
