Jack Gantos

Jack's our dude. The story is told from his point-of-view, and we're on his side. When he mows down the cornfield, we want to shout out, "No, Jack! Don't cut down that corn!" When he tells his Dad that throwing paint-filled water balloons at the movie theatre screen and scaring the "be-cheezus" out of people is not funny, we give him a figurative high-five.
