Ripkard "Partridge" Willux Timeline & Summary

  • Partridge is being taken care of by the mothers, but they sort of hate him. It's very lonesome. Especially because he can't interact with his lover, Lyda.
  • One day, Partridge is able to convince the mothers to let him do arts and crafts with Lyda—that is, make maps of inside the Dome.
  • Then his friends show up; Bradwell, El Capitan, and Pressia.
  • They tell him the Dome is looking for him, though, and that they're going to kill hostages if he doesn't give himself up.
  • Right then, Special Forces ambushes them. Partridge and Lyda escape and have sex in some random house.
  • Partridge gives himself up the next day.
  • When he wakes up, he's in a room in the Dome. The house is occupied by his new step-mother Mimi, and his new step-sister and fiancé Iralene.
  • But Mimi and Iralene have been cryogenically frozen for years so that they never age. Creepy.
  • Partridge escapes the Dome with help from the always skittish Iralene, and he's taken to the basement of the Theater in the academy by a boy named Vinty.
  • In the basement, he finds his old history teacher Glassings, who tells him about how the adults know about how Ellery planned the Detonations.
  • Glassings also tells Partridge he must assassinate his father. Boy, what a day.
  • Then, Partridge finds out his memory is going to be wiped clean so that he doesn't remember what happened outside the Dome. Cant this get any worse?
  • Luckily, the bad stuff stops there. Partridge gets his memory erased, but small flashbacks help him realize something isn't right.
  • Iralene also helps him regain some of his memory (even if it's brief and confusing).
  • After Partridge finds a piece of paper recounting everything that happened to him outside the Dome, and he finds out that his father wants to take his body so that he can live longer and rule.
  • Partridge isn't having any of that, so he decides to assassinate his father, just as Glassings told him.
  • We're not entirely sure if the assassination worked, but we know he was able to blow a poisonous capsule into his father's throat.
