Henry VI's father, Henry V, dies and leaves the baby Henry VI heir to the throne.
Henry VI is old enough to appear in Parliament, where he works to make peace between Gloucester and Winchester, and helps restore York to his family's title.
Henry is crowned in France. He also gets news that Burgundy has switched sides, and makes a number of tactical errors in relating to his court and the French.
Henry agrees to peace with France and to marriage with the daughter of the Earl of Armagnac.
Henry breaks off his engagement with the Earl's daughter to get engaged to Margaret, a woman with no dowry.
