Some critics think that The Invisible Man was influenced by comic writer W. S. Gilbert's poem "The Perils of Invisibility" (1870). What do you think?

In addition to inspiring many TV shows and movies, The Invisible Man also inspired a number of graphic novels, like Jeff Lemire's The Nobody (2009). Even Batman has a run-in with some Invisible Man.
