Character Analysis
Peter Shirley is an older gentleman who seeks food and shelter at the Army. He lost his job for being too old (dude, that wasn't illegal?). He tries to defend people like Rummy and Jenny from Bill, when Bill comes in on a tear and hits them, but mostly he just seems sad and downtrodden. Eventually, Barbara finds him a job as a gatekeeper at her father's factory.
