Character Analysis
Lotze is a German artist whom Baynes meets on the rocketship to San Francisco, but his main claim to fame is that he's a ridiculous Nazi. When something looks weird to him, he says things like "it looks like something a Jew would make." He keeps trying to relate to Baynes not on a person-to-person level, but as a racial group.
