Isabella arrives in Bath with her mother and her sisters and is introduced to Catherine and Mrs. Allen.
She quickly bonds with Catherine after she learns that their brothers are friends.
Isabella recommends a lot of Gothic novels for Catherine to read.
It turns out Isabella is in love with James Morland. She's thrilled when he arrives in Bath with her older brother John.
Isabella goes out riding with James while Catherine rides with John.
She tries to pressure Catherine into ditching the Tilneys to come on an excursion with her, John, and James. She is angry when Catherine refuses.
