Doctor Bruner

Okay, Doctor Bruner isn't really a bad guy or anything, but he does thwart Charlie at several turns. First, he is the trustee in charge of the money that Charlie believes he should have gotten as part of his inheritance, and he's not super forthcoming (for privacy reasons) about why he's in charge of that money, so Charlie has to discover Ray's existence all on his own.

Then, Doctor Bruner works to get Raymond away from Charlie after Charlie kidnaps him. Sure, this is all for Raymond's own good, but the fact remains that Bruner works against the goals of the protagonist (Charlie, that is) for basically the entire movie… so, even if he is a swell guy, we have to call him the antagonist in terms of the story structure.
