Ready Player One Theme of Friendship

If you think of video games as a solo affair, you couldn't be more wrong. As the pastime has grown and evolved, it's becoming more and more about teamwork, from 4-player teamwork in New Super Mario Bros. Wii to guilds in World of Warcraft. Even Mortal Kombat knows the value of friendship. Ready Player One is no different. At the beginning of the novel, Wade and his friends seem committing to solo-ing, all wanting to finish the Hunt by themselves, with no help. They learn along the way that not only is this difficult to do, but nearly impossible. Just like it would be if you tried to "solo" life itself.
