- As they approach Carlene's house, most of the group decides to stay put, but Bobbi volunteers to take Samson in to use the bathroom.
- When Carlene starts yelling at Lester, Bobbi sneaks past her into the trailer with Samson; the rest of the kids follow them.
- Lester yells at Carlene, snapping her out of her screaming fit—at which point she realizes that the kids are the ones missing on TV, and says she's calling the police. Everyone runs to the bus to get away as fast as possible.
- As they skid away, Mibs realizes that Samson is not with them.
