Storm on the Island

(3) Base Camp

While this is a poem rich with imagery and the complicated tension between the people on the island and Mother Nature, there isn't too much else to follow. If you have a dictionary nearby to look up some of the British words, you'll probably get the gist of the action in the poem on the first read. Bring the standard necessities—water bottle, sunscreen, a floppy hat—and you'll be in good shape.
