The Circle

Dave Eggers' novel is named after the tyrannical company that lies at its heart, so you know it must be important. There's no single person pulling the strings behind a curtain at the Circle, and so there isn't any single person who can shoulder all of the blame for what the company becomes. Most of the novel's characters have a hand in creating the monster, and, sooner or later, most of them will suffer for what they've done.
