Character Analysis
Bud is Jeannine's older brother, a happily married math teacher with a wife and two young children. He likes to spend his summers fly fishing in the Poconos while his wife and mother look after the kids, and since his father passed away when he and Jeannine were young, he's used to being treated like the head of the family. When Jeannine comes for a visit, he acts as though it's his brotherly duty to see that she marries someone. He's forceful with her, to the point of pulling her around sometimes, and treats her like she's a kid.
