Dorn

Well, Dorn's not really a guide or mentor in that he actually helps anyone (besides, presumably, his offstage patients, of course). But he is full of gentle, skeptical, Chekhov-like advice for everyone. He encourages Konstantin's writing and gives him a few tips. He advises Sorin to be a little more stoic and accepting of his physical decline.
