• Eustace encounters Jill crying behind the gym and offers her a peppermint, then he tells her about Narnia and they try to call on Aslan.
• Eustace tries the usually locked door in the stonewall and it opens onto Aslan's mountain.
• Jill's actions on the cliff top cause Eustace to fall; Aslan blows him into Narnia.
• Eustace doesn't recognize the old king that sails from Cair Paravel, but he learns from Glimfeather that it is his good friend, Caspian.
• Eustace and Jill attend the parliament of owls, where Eustace declares loyalty to the king and listens to the story of Rilian.
• Eustace meets Puddleglum and they make plans to go north in search of the ancient giant city.
