Hannah's Scar

Symbolism, Imagery, Allegory

This one isn't too tough. The scar Hannah has on her forehead represents, well, a scar. But an emotional one. She gets this mark from Jessica Davis, who accuses Hannah of stealing her man and then punches and scratches her over her eye. This happens shortly after Hannah moves to town, but the scar – both physical and emotional – remains for the rest of her short life.
