After spending his college years as a star athlete in Kansas, this friendly bro gets hired by a chain of banks, and in 1940 becomes America’s first sponsored superhero. Better make that the last. Dollar Bill’s sponsors ask him to wear a cape for style points, but it ends up being his c.o.d. (that’s cause of death, not cash on delivery) when he tries to stop a bank heist from taking place.
