The Wild Children Chapter 11 Summary

  • Peter is acting weird. Which is understandable, you know, because he just killed a dude.
  • Alex approaches him and impulsively starts talking. He tells Peter about Katriana's brother and suggests that they go to St. Petersburg to be smuggled out of the country.
  • Peter doesn't give him a definitive answer, but the crew sets out a few hours later. For where? No one knows.
  • Meanwhile, Anya has bonded a great deal with the boys, who now "watched her like a treasure" (11.40). Thank goodness for this, because we could sure use some good feels right about now.
  • The next morning, the gang hops on a train headed toward Moscow. The boys assume they're heading home, but Peter tells them they're heading for St. Petersburg instead, though he doesn't reveal the reason.
  • After transferring trains in Moscow, they finally reach St. Petersburg. At last, Peter reveals the reason for their detour, telling them that whoever wants to come along is more than welcome.
  • With that, Alex heads off to find Katriana's bro, Basil. Katriana said he worked at a local library…
