nov 11 Learn More Interview with the Vampire Released
The film adaptation of Anne Rice's 1976 book Interview with the Vampire hit multiplexes on this day in 1994, starring Tom Cruise as the titular vampire, Lestat. Rice was less than thrilled with the casting choice and made her displeasure known to anybody that would listen. Once the film actually came out, however, Rice changed her tune and praised Cruise's performance, which he allegedly prepared for by watching footage of lions attacking zebras.
