Fame
Fame in this field is pretty unlikely. For one, you're out in the middle of the ocean, so you're not exactly getting, ahem, stormed by the paparazzi. Also, you're the low position on the totem pole, so any recognition coming to your crew is most likely going to go to the dude with the snazzy hat barking the orders.
Chances are you'll be fine with this arrangement, given you're the type of person who decides to spend most of their time away from most of society.
Also, keep in mind that when fame comes to a shipping crew, it's usually not for the most awesome of reasons. Whether it's cargo lost, crane mishaps, or, worst case scenario, the disappearance of a ship, most famous shipping crews discover that not all press is necessarily good press.
