Fame

The fire investigator isn't some kind of attention-seeking fame hound; you're more of a Dragnet-esque "just-the-facts ma'am" professional. You're the kind of person who comes to reasonable conclusions based on an unbiased analysis of the evidence. Words like reasonable and unbiased aren't usually associated with celebrities.

You'll spend a little time here and there in the public eye, especially if something really big, famous, or important burns down and you're called to testify, but most of the attention will be on who or what set the fire. It's not exactly Kurt Russell-, Robert DeNiro-, or even Billy Baldwin-level fame, but at least your friends might read your name on the local news blog.
