Power
As usual, having power as a jewelry designer depends on how much you want to stretch the definition of power. You'll have a legitimate chance to influence fashion in this industry, and that can feel pretty powerful.
However, the point at which your jewelry designs would really give you power and influence in a situation—where awestruck minions stammer through their "Yes, sir" or "Yes, ma'am" as they scramble to get your coffee order right—seems pretty far away. It's possible to be that big a deal in jewelry design, but it's not likely.
Then again, if you're not working for a retailer and are instead making your own hours and doing your own thing, you could definitely derive some power from that. As all of the old, withered, overworked adults in your life will tell you, having some power over your schedule is pretty powerful, indeed.
You'll also be able to manipulate metals and other cool materials, which may make you feel a little powerful. But don't get too cocky. The tools aren't a mechanical extension of your body, Edward Jewelerhands. They're just tools.
