For the next twenty years, and probably for many more to come, mathematics will be at the forefront of technological and scientific advancement. From space flight to biotechnology, robotics to climate change, the applications for mathematicians such as yourself will increase and diversify. Jobs for mathematicians are expected to grow by 23%, an absolutely insane level of growth for a career that has existed since the BCE part of history (source).
Even if the technical options dried up, there will always be colleges and universities looking to hire the next wave of top-level applied mathematicians. Unfortunately for those who hated it in school, math is here to stay.
