Glory

Let's be real for a moment here: this is a cool job in a doctor's office. It's fun, you meet lots of interesting people, and you help people find their style, but basically you're just there to make sure the files stay organized and the customers stay happy.

The stakes are pretty low, so the glory you'll feel is that of a very humble sort. You could be the best optician in the land, but realistically, people aren't gonna give you a prize for hooking them up with glasses, no matter how stylish and functional.

So, any glory felt should stem from a pure enjoyment of the job. And hey, it's a pretty fun job.

One, you're helping all sorts of people get hold of the perfect spectacles in a relaxed work setting. Two, the work itself is cool. You measure people's faces and ask questions to determine which, if any, special features they require. You'll use your fashion sense to help people pick the right style for them. It's no fancy Paris fashion show, but you're not exactly the next Coco Chanel.
