Make To Assemble - MTA

Categories: Company Management

Sofabulous Sofas, LLC is our name, and customized couches are our game. We know how important it is to have a comfy yet tasteful place to lounge at home, which is why we offer a highly customizable product line to our customers. All they have to do is tell us what they want and we’ll make it, and thanks to our MTA process, we can save them time and money compared to other custom sofa manufacturers.

“MTA” stands for “make-to-assemble.” This means that our warehouse is stocked with the pieces and parts necessary to make our couches—wood, springs, fabric, foam, etc.—but we don’t actually put the pieces together until we receive an order. This is good for us as well as our customers, since we don’t have a huge inventory of completed couches on hand that we may or may not be able to sell.

We see MTA processes outside of furniture-making as well; when we go to our favorite sandwich shop, for example, they’ve got all the ingredients available, but the final sandwich creation is up to us. A person could go mad with so much power.
