While golf doesn't quite reach the same levels of popularity as football or basketball in the U.S., it's still a pretty big deal. With four major tournaments spread throughout the year, there's always something golf-related going on. You know a sport is legit when it has its own channel.

In golf, a small group of athletes stands head-and-shoulders above the pack. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more dominant athlete (in any sport) than Tiger Woods circa 2000. He made about $130 million per year then. As of 2014, Tiger has earned $1.3 billion over the course (ha) of his career. Mostly from endorsements.

Even Tiger's former caddie, Steve Williams, is worth about $20 million. How can we get that gig?
