Al Capone Does My Shirts Part 2, Chapter 24 Summary

Like a Regular Sister

  • It takes Moose a minute to get to the wall and squeeze through the fence. He feels guilty about leaving Natalie, but he justifies it by thinking about his mom telling him to treat her "like a regular sister" (24.4).
  • He spies a white object in the yard and runs to get it, but it turns out to be only a piece of paper.
  • He looks around for a second more, then runs back to check on Natalie, who hasn't moved from her spot.
  • Natalie keeps repeating the number "105." Moose asks if she's counting the birds or the rocks, but Natalie looks at him like he's stupid.
