Death Comes for the Archbishop Book 7, Chapter 4 Summary

Eusabio

  • After three days, Bishop Latour decides it's time to leave Eusabio's house.
  • He sends a letter off to Father Vaillant in Arizona and Eusabio rides with him back to Santa Fe.
  • As they travel, Latour reflects on all of the ways that the Navajo are different from the white Americans, especially in the way they live in communion with the landscape instead of constantly fighting to tame it.
