Case Description: Complainant (Demeter) accuses defendant (Hades) of kidnapping Persephone, the complainant's daughter. It seem Hades, Lord of the Dead, dragged the unwilling girl down into the Underworld to be his wife.
Case Status: Case resolved. Zeus negotiated a settlement in which Persephone is released from the Underworld for a portion of every year.
