Gigi

As it says in the title, in many ways Gigi is the one we're rooting for here. After all, she's a lovely, clumsy heroine who just trying to maintain a little of herself among all the baubles and business of becoming a full-fledged adult. She experiences the most central transformation too, as she learns how and on what terms to embrace her womanhood, getting pretty much exactly what she wants in the process.

Gaston

As tempting as it is to think of Gigi as the only protagonist, we can't forget Gaston, who's enacting a super-classic hero's journey with a clear, stated problem (total boredom with his superficial life) and a clear quest (not being bored anymore). When it becomes clear that Gigi is the solution, like, for real, he goes for it.
