- So, seriously…what's the deal with Snape? Is he loyal to Dumbledore and playing the Dark Lord for a fool, or vice versa?
- What do you make of Dumbledore confiding more in Harry? Do you think he's being forthcoming enough? Why or why not?
- Why does Harry joke around about being the "Chosen One"? That is, why do you think he resists taking that whole idea seriously?
- Voldemort only appears in this film in flashbacks. Why do you think they take a break from showing present-day Voldemort at this point in the series?
- Does this film change your feelings about some of the characters we've been following from the beginning? If so, which characters changed most in your eyes, and why?
- Are we supposed to like Slughorn? Dislike him? How do you know, and does it matter?
- How do you like all the romance plots? Are they a nice break from the spooky action, or do you find them annoying/distracting/out of step with everything else?
