- Get the ball rolling quickly and efficiently, and the government will do the same thing. As these necessities are produced, the U.S. government will determine how best to use them to defend democracy in the western hemisphere.
- Some stuff will go overseas and some will stay at home. Either way, the U.S. will become "the great arsenal of democracy."
- The U.S. isn't at war, but the same spirit of patriotism and sacrifice needs to be present in this effort. America will dedicate itself to supporting Britain, just as the Greek Army has done, because strength lives in the people who value freedom over their own lives.
- Hope will win out over defeatist ideas, and Americans are determined to do whatever's necessary to defeat the Axis. It all starts with increasing production.
