- While Nora is getting ready for her date with Patch, Detectives Basso and Holstijic turn up with some questions about her fight with Marcie because Marcie was beaten up that night.
- Nora tells the detectives Patch can vouch for her whereabouts after the library, though. They start to get suspicious of him.
- Patch picks Nora up in a new Jeep he won from a game of pool, tells Nora he has no idea who could have hurt Marcie, and takes her to Bo's Arcade.
- They play a flirty start to a pool game with plenty of touching and innuendo.
- A friend of Patch's, Rixon, enters the pool room. He's heard of Nora from Patch, and he playfully wrestles Patch, ripping his shirt to reveal two long scars in the shape of an upside-down V.
- Rixon says that Patch got his nickname back when he used to participate in Irish bare-knuckle boxing. Apparently, he was so bad at it that Rixon constantly had to patch him up, so everyone started calling him Patch.
