Jurassic Park is written for a popular audience and follows a bestseller format. The characterizations are obvious and easily distinguishable. The plot is fairly simple and progresses explicitly—with lots of running and screaming. The technical language concerning dinosaurs, system controls, and mathematics is explained simply and clearly—it's not much more difficult than if these topics were written for children's books on the subjects.
