Character Analysis
Miss Noble is Mr. Farebrother's unmarried aunt. She's a tiny woman whose biggest vice is stealing sugar from the family sugar bowl to give to neighborhood children as treats. She totally adores Will Ladislaw, because he likes to buy treats for the neighborhood children, too. Don't worry, though – she adores Will, but she's probably over fifty or sixty years old, and so isn't a rival for his affections in the world of this novel.
