Another one of the bad guys, Leonine is the dude Dionyza hires to kill Marina. Here's how he goes about it: he takes Marina for a walk on the beach and tells her to say her prayers before he kills her, which is kind of cold-blooded if you ask us. Before he can get the job done, a bunch of pirates jump out and kidnap Marina. Leonine runs away like a fraidy-cat and then says he hopes the pirates kill Marina and dump her in the ocean after they rape her.
Don't worry, folks, because that doesn't happen. Leonine eventually gets his comeuppance when Dionyza poisons him so he can't rat on her for putting a hit out on Marina. What goes around comes around.
