Scene 41
- Westley's cries are heard throughout the kingdom. What can we say? The guy's got a set of lungs on him.
- Fezzik and Inigo hear them, and conclude that such a scream of agony could only be coming from the Man in Black. There may be a skip in the record of his logic, but in this case, he's totally on the money.
Scene 42
- Arriving at a clearing, Inigo asks his father (yeah, the dead one) to guide his sword, and lead him to the Man in Black. His father (or pure luck, tough to say which one) obliges.
Scene 43
- Fezzik and Inigo find Westley dead down in the Pit of Despair.
Scene 44
- This gets the grandson's tighty whities in a twist. He's a little peeved that his grandfather would read him a story where the dashing hero dies. Might as well introduce him to the complete works of Dostoevsky while he's at it.
Scene 45
- Back to the Pit, where Inigo tells Fezzik to grab Westley's body. They're going to take it with them, and see if they can "buy a miracle." We checked and they don't even have those on Amazon, so good luck, buddy.
