Exactly how steamy is this story?

We are tempted to bump our rating up to an R, since the sexual elements running through Rebecca always seem more or less dark and twisted on some level. But, dark and twisted alone don't an R rating make. Rebecca has very little explicit sexual content and readers young and old will puzzle over who does what to whom (sexually speaking) and who wants to do what to whom. Daphne du Maurier's 1938 classic might not fog your glasses, but it will probably make you think about sex, and the rules and norms for having it or not having it in various societies.
