One-eyed Willy

It's a given that, when seeking out a mentor, you generally want one who's alive. Sadly, One-Eyed Willy does not fit that bill.

But he's all Mikey's got. His older brother is there to look out for him, but Brand has his own issues, and spends more time trying to get Mikey to turn back than to actually be helpful.

But Willy's there for him from the start. He guides Mikey in the form of the treasure map, and almost speaks to him from beyond the grave when one of the Goonies tries to take Willy's private stash of jewels, and Mikey puts the kibosh on it.
