- Lily couldn't sleep after her talk with August. Eventually, she got up and ended up trashing the honey house in anger, throwing a bunch of honey jars and a bucket at the wall. She then lay down on the floor in front of the Our Lady statue and went to sleep.
- Rosaleen found Lily the next morning and helped clean some cuts she had gotten while breaking the honey jars.
- Lily then filled Rosaleen in about why she was upset, and Rosaleen admitted she had kindasorta known all along that Deborah had left Lily, based on a conversation she had overheard between T. Ray and Mrs. Watson some time ago.
- Then, Rosaleen helped Lily clean up the mess in the honey house.
- Later, the Daughters of Mary and Otis came over for Part 2 of the Mary Day celebrations.
- While everyone was sitting around eating, Lily asked August to tell Zach the whole truth about her situation (i.e., her mother, her origins, etc.) August agreed.
- Everyone then went outside to continue with the Mary Day rituals, which included pouring honey all over the Our Lady of Chains statue, rubbing it in, and then cleaning it off. Because sure.
- After the ceremonies concluded, Lily went back to the honey house to lie down. August went and visited her there, bearing a box of things Deborah had left behind when she went back to get Lily. August helped Lily go through the box.
