The Bear from "The Big Brag"

Character Analysis

Don't tell them we told you, but the bear and the rabbit have a lot more in common than they like to think. The only real difference is that while the rabbit is one of those animals that looks small and talks big, the bear really is big… and he's grumpy, gruff, vain and childish.

"Pooh!" the bear snorted. "Again I say Pooh!" (14)

Yeah yeah, we hear you, Mr. Bear, and we know all about your penchant for poohing. (Sorry, we couldn't resist.)

Both the rabbit and the bear take an ability that's only one part of who they are, and they blow it up big time so that it becomes every bit of who they are—hearing for the rabbit, smell for the bear. They do so willingly, even though there's far more to the picture than these negligible traits.
