Bank robber John Dillinger was gunned down by federal agents in front of Chicago's Biograph Theater on this day in 1934. Or was he? Author Jay Robert Nash claims that Dillinger escaped and a local Chicago criminal was killed in his place. Whoever was killed in front of the Biograph is buried in Indianapolis under three feet of concrete. What's with all the cement? It's to protect Dillinger's body from grave robbers. Or is it? Those who believe Dillinger escaped would argue that the concrete is there to keep anyone from exhuming the remains and discovering that they're not Dillinger's. But they probably are. Or are they? No, seriously. They probably are.
