Thank you We sneak in cooperation Eyelash mma Yes it

00:07

right back in you'll hear a tale A tale of

00:10

a fateful trip aren't specifically this trip A maron ship

00:14

carrying a few dozen passengers washes ashore on a deserted

00:18

island Two of the passengers jon and jack decide that

00:21

they each know the best way to get off the

00:23

island Men gather a few followers and set up camp

00:26

on opposite sides of the island determined to prove that

00:30

their way is the only way i know that's been

00:33

an issue The idea is bananas because guess what jack

00:38

happens to have a man who can draw plans for

00:42

a ship in his group And john has a carpenter

00:45

who can filled it But these two won't work together

00:48

So our shipwrecked passengers live out the rest of their

00:50

lives on the island with the occasional visit from these

00:54

guys So the odds of you ending up in a

00:55

shipwreck are pretty slim in real life anyway right But

00:59

the odds of you ending up in a group project

01:01

or work situation where cooperation is key Well those odds

01:04

are pretty high And maybe your ideas actually are the

01:07

best but unfortunately that doesn't mean you can steamroll everyone

01:11

else around you Making everyone in your group feel like

01:14

they're contributing something valuable leads to group harmony peace and

01:18

other groovy touchy feely stuff So let's check back in

01:21

with our castaways What could they have done differently to

01:24

avoid a lifetime spent on the island Well when john

01:27

says it would be best to stay where they are

01:30

and wait for rescue rather than argue jack decides to

01:33

cooperate After all they both have the same ankle Get

01:36

off the island Why not work together to make it

01:39

happen Jack tells him they'll sit tight for a year

01:42

But if no one comes to rescue them then they'll

01:44

start building a boat to leave the island John recognizes

01:48

that jack is trying to work with him So rather

01:50

than rock the boat oh if only they had one

01:52

He agrees to the plan They combine their groups And

01:56

other than destroying the inter island softball league all things

01:59

are pretty great Jack and john's group's split into teams

02:02

for a year to work towards their short term goal

02:05

After a year with no hint of rescue john agrees

02:07

To take a chance on the boat the group's work

02:10

together to build a boat and set sail Because everyone

02:13

on the boat is cooperating the trip goes smoothly and

02:16

after a few days are survivors are rescued by a

02:18

passing ship When jack and john refused to cooperate they

02:22

died on the island When they cooperated they were able

02:25

to get back to the real world Well when you

02:27

refused to cooperate on a group project chances are you

02:30

won't die But you're great my tank and you might

02:33

get a bad reputation among your classmates If you're working

02:37

toward the same goal you might as well cooperate to

02:40

make the process goes smoothly And if you do end

02:43

up shipwrecked on an island watch out for these guys 00:02:46.28 --> [endTime] Way Think they're cheaters Harlem globetrotters
